in Greensboro, North Carolina where they are raised and trained by 3 retired police officers with over 70 years of handler and training knowledge. Their training starts at 8 weeks of age and includes living in the home, socialization with people and other dogs, and naturally, tracking and search skills. The health history of the dogs and their parents is known so hereditary issues are minimal compared to dogs that are rescued from shelters when there is no information regarding the dogs lineage. Green Collar K9 dogs can be found working with the CIA, FBI, police departments, and in combat zones with our military protecting troops from IED's. After leaving North Carolina, the dogs are shipped to the Action Canine Institute for 8 weeks of training in a specified scent. Because of their upbringing, they are accustomed to working in noisy environments, on slippery surfaces, and with multiple distractions insuring the best possible results during any type of inspection. They are trained to inspect luggage, many types of vehicles, homes, hotels and numerous other locations so know matter what you're called upon to inspect, you can count on great results.
